Delivery

Do you charge shipping costs?

Yes, we do charge shipping costs for your order.
For domestic orders, shipping costs are usually €3,95.
Naturally, shipping bicycles costs a little more.
A bicycle can be shipped for €21,95 inside the Netherlands.
On the checkout page, shipping costs will be calculated automatically.

How will my order be delivered?

We ship orders via PostNL or DHL.
Domestic orders containing bicycles with a tire size of 16 inches or higher are shipped using the transport company FlevoBird.
Outside of the Netherlands, we use TNT to ship your order.

Can I select the date of delivery?

Unfortunately, no.
Once your order has been transferred to the transport company, we will send you an email with your tracking number so you can track your package.

Can my order be delivered abroad?

Of course! Our orders can be delivered to almost anywhere in the world. Go here for an overview of the various countries we currently ship to and the shipping costs for each destination.

Can I have my order delivered to a postal box number?

The delivery address for your order must be a physical address - that of a residence or a company - where your order can be accepted by you or someone authorized by you.
Unfortunately, a PO Box, Kiala point or similar pickup point cannot be accepted as a delivery address.

If my order doesn't fit through the mail slot, how will it be delivered?

If your order is too big to fit through a regular mail slot and if you're not at home to accept the package, then PostNL will attempt to deliver it to your neighbors*.
If they can't deliver the package to your neighbors, PostNL will later make a second delivery attempt.
It depends on the day of the first attempt, when the second delivery attempt will be made.
This is usually on the following (business) day.
In most cases, you will be able to find out the day and time slot for the next delivery attempt through Track & Trace or the PostNL app.

*This applies to packages delivered within the Netherlands by PostNL. Your local transport partner may have a different policy and not leave a package with your neighbors.
 

Will my order be delivered in a single package?

We strive towards sending your order out in one package. Factors like size and weight may require us to send your order to you in more than one package. You will receive a tracking number for each package.

What if I'm not at home when my order is delivered?

If you're not at home to accept your package, PostNL will try to deliver the package to your neighbors.
If they can't deliver the package to your neighbors, PostNL will later make a second delivery attempt.
It depends on the day of the first attempt, when the second delivery attempt will be made.
This is usually on the following (business) day.
In most cases, you will be able to find out the day and time slot for the next delivery attempt through Track & Trace or the PostNL or DHL app.
When a delivery attempt has failed, it's sometimes possible to plan the next delivery attempt, but only if this is indicated on the note left by the delivery service.

Can I come by to pick up my order?

Unfortunately, it is not possible to come pick up your order.

I haven't received a tracking number.

Something may have gone wrong with your order.
Have you received an order number, but not a tracking number?
Please send us an email, stating your order number, and we will look into it for you.

I can't find my order using Track & Trace.

The tracking number may not be activated yet.
Instead, it could be activated a few hours later or the following day.
This is also the moment when the delivery time will be determined.
We advise you to give it a few hours and then try again.
Still can't find your order?
Please contact us - in most cases, your order is on its way and will be delivered to you on time, but we'd rather be safe than sorry.

I haven't received my order.

The best thing to do in this case is to send us an email.
We can then ask our transport company partner to launch an inquiry and we'll report the results of this inquiry back to you as soon as possible.

Hollandbikeshop.com is a member of the Foundation Webshop Trustmark, so no matter what, you're insured for the delivery of your order or a refund of payment.
Please take into account that inquiries may take up to several days.
We kindly ask you to be patient and wait until the inquiry is completed.
