The 'indestructible' rear tire – now new with radial carcass

The Schwalbe Eddy Current is our E-MTB specialist for all-mountain and enduro use. Thanks to its robust construction, this is a reliable, virtually indestructible rear tire for all e-bikes – from light assistance to powerful e-mountain bikes. The Eddy Current is a true powerhouse. You can simply head out, no matter which trails you are going to explore on your e-mountain bike adventure.

With the advantages of radial

Our newly developed GRAVITY PRO construction offers the most robust carcass with the best puncture protection for intensive use or heavier bikes – combined with the benefits of radial technology.

As a PRO version, the tire is equipped with the latest technologies for maximum performance. An additional carcass layer provides more stability and even better puncture protection. Additionally, our APEX technology offers maximum protection against punctures thanks to an extra fabric reinforcement.

Moreover, you benefit from the advantages of radial technology: more grip, more cushioning, and more safety.

How does it work? The carcass threads are woven at a flatter angle. This allows the tire to better adapt to the ground at specific points, creating a larger contact surface with the trail surface. The result: more grip, more cushioning, and more safety.

Which tire fits which rim?

The so-called ETRTO size (European Tire and Rim Technical Organisation) consists of two numbers:
the first is the width of the tire in millimeters and the second is the diameter of the tire in millimeters.
City bikes usually have tire size 37-622: a 37 mm width and a 622 mm diameter.
The tire width must match the rim width.
The following chart shows possible combinations of tire widths and rim widths according to ETRTO.
