Ergonomics, Control, and Smooth Shifting

The fantastic ergonomics that have become a hallmark of Campagnolo over the years have been further enhanced with the introduction of the Super Record and Record 12-speed drivetrains, continuing in the design of the current Chorus brake/shifter levers.

Apart from the aluminum brake lever, which features a high-quality coating, the Chorus Ergopower controls have characteristics that closely resemble those of the Super Record and Record brake/shifter levers. However, the design of the hand protection rubber, the brake and shift lever, and the Reach Adjustment feature for individual adaptation to different hand sizes make the Chorus model unique and versatile in use.

Campagnolo's proven "One-Lever-One-Action" philosophy prevents erroneous operation, even during moments of competitive tension or fatigue. The internal Ultra Shift mechanism is used to control the 12-speed rear derailleur, allowing for shifting down by up to 5 gears or up by 3 gears in one motion. The Chorus brake shifters provide the same extremely durable and smooth shifting performance as the two Record groups, thanks to reworked cables or hoses and an optimized housing.

Campagnolo Flat Mount Brake Caliper
Powerful, Flexible, and Reliable.

Thanks to their phenolic resin pistons with a diameter of 22 mm, the Campagnolo Flatmount disc brake calipers enable powerful and modular braking performance in any situation. This lightweight material offers good heat insulation, ensuring that braking performance remains consistent even over long periods.

To meet the demand for maximum performance, the forged aluminum construction provides the necessary stiffness and strength. The return mechanism of the pistons has been optimized for a quick return of the brake pads to their starting position, simultaneously dampening vibrations during braking and minimizing the total play between the brake pad and disc (0.4 to 0.8 mm).

Special attention was also given to simplifying maintenance and assembly tasks during the development of the brake caliper. Accordingly, the pads are equipped with wear indicators. Their replacement is also facilitated by the absence of physical return springs. The insertion of the disc into the caliper has also been optimized to make wheel changes easier and faster.
