This Ratchet DEG DF upgrade kit from DT Swiss transforms a compatible Ratchet DEG rear hub into Degrees of Freedom technology featuring a 90-tooth ratchet system. Riders can choose from 0°, 10°, or 20° of additional free movement before engagement, minimizing the impact of chain tension on the rear suspension. This innovation helps limit pedal kickback and allows the suspension to navigate more smoothly over roots, rocks, and repeated impacts. The conversion is designed for compatible mountain bike hubs equipped with a Ratchet DEG 72T or 90T freehub system. The kit comes with all necessary internal ratchet components and special grease, but please note that the dedicated DT Swiss Ratchet DEG installation tool is not included.
