This Ratchet Hybrid upgrade kit from DT Swiss introduces Degrees of Freedom technology to a compatible e-MTB rear hub featuring a 60-tooth Ratchet DEG freehub system. By replacing the existing threaded ring and ratchet components, this system allows for either 0° or 10° of additional free movement before engagement. This innovation helps minimize the impact of chain tension on the rear suspension, reducing pedal kickback and enabling the suspension to react more freely over rough terrain. Specifically designed for the higher torque loads of electric mountain bikes, this kit is not compatible with classic Ratchet, Ratchet LN, or Ratchet EXP hubs. Please note that a DT Swiss Ratchet DEG installation tool is required and is not included with this version.
