It is designed to replace a damaged, missing, or unsuitable original cover while maintaining the necessary route for internally guided brake hoses and gear cables. Before placing your order, please verify the frame’s upper-bearing diameter and headset configuration, as the 56 mm version is not interchangeable with the smaller 46 mm cover for 1 1/8-inch upper bearings. Installation requires the correct compression ring and headset components, careful cable routing, and readjustment of the headset preload to ensure smooth steering without bearing play.
