Be sure to check the model name printed on the caliper before installation, especially on older Avid Code brakes, as not every generation utilizes the same pad shape. During replacement, inspect the rotor for contamination, scoring, and minimum thickness, retract the pistons evenly, and secure the slide-in pads with appropriate retaining hardware before aligning the caliper and progressively bedding in each new set.
