During installation, be sure to inspect each rotor for scoring, minimum thickness, and traces of oil. Clean the caliper and carefully return the pistons before sliding the new pads into position. Existing retaining pins or clips should only be reused if they remain straight and secure, and each newly fitted set must be bedded in progressively to ensure consistent contact with the brake rotor.
