The K-Guard puncture protection, a smooth 50-EPI carcass and the improved silica composition
give the Lugano impressive racing performance at an excellent price.

Schwalbe has been using levels that indicate puncture protection of its tires for years.
Two examples:
only Schwalbe has the tires which can be called "puncture" (protection 7).
For mountain bikes, Tubeless became the standard for performance-oriented use with the
Schwalbe fabric inserts of Tubeless Easy technology - and
together with sealing milk for optimal leak protection (protection 6).
The DualGuard has been developed for fast, light bicycles that are used every day.
The combination of rubber insert and fabric insert is the perfect compromise
between daily and speed-oriented use.

Which tire fits which rim?

The so-called ETRTO size (European Tire and Rim Technical Organisation) consists of two numbers:
the first is the width of the tire in millimeters and the second is the diameter of the tire in millimeters.
City bikes usually have tire size 37-622: a 37 mm width and a 622 mm diameter.
The tire width must match the rim width.
The following chart shows possible combinations of tire widths and rim widths according to ETRTO.
