Schwalbe rim tapes made of polyurethane for hollow chamber rims
The third important factor for puncture safety in addition to tires and tubes.
Because the rim tape effectively protects the tube from mechanical damage, eg. by spokes or metal burrs in the rim and covers the spoke holes.

Which tire fits which rim?

The so-called ETRTO size (European Tire and Rim Technical Organisation) consists of two numbers:
the first is the width of the tire in millimeters and the second is the diameter of the tire in millimeters.
City bikes usually have tire size 37-622: a 37 mm width and a 622 mm diameter.
The tire width must match the rim width.
The following chart shows possible combinations of tire widths and rim widths according to ETRTO.
