During the production of inner tubes, we ensure a very high purity of the material. This allows them to retain air pressure significantly longer than other inner tubes.

- 100% Recyclable:
Schwalbe inner tubes are 100% recyclable. Each new Schwalbe butyl inner tube is made from approximately 20% recycled old inner tubes.

A Schwalbe bicycle inner tube is typically made of butyl. Butyl is a highly elastic and simultaneously air-tight synthetic rubber. Due to its high elasticity, the Schwalbe inner tube is suitable for covering a wide variety of tire sizes.

Which tire fits which rim?

The so-called ETRTO size (European Tire and Rim Technical Organisation) consists of two numbers:
the first is the width of the tire in millimeters and the second is the diameter of the tire in millimeters.
City bikes usually have tire size 37-622: a 37 mm width and a 622 mm diameter.
The tire width must match the rim width.
The following chart shows possible combinations of tire widths and rim widths according to ETRTO.
