Saddles can be mounted on two different types of seatposts,
candle seatposts and patented seatposts.
Candle seatposts require an additional part to mount the saddle: the saddle clamp.
With patented seatposts, the saddle clamp is built into the seatpost and the saddle can therefore be mounted directly onto the seatpost.
This guide only applies to mounting a saddle on a patented seatpost.
