Grips can be quite difficult to remove. If they’re really stuck, using a sharp knife is the quickest, easiest way to remove them.
When the grips are fairly easy to remove, you should be able to pull them off of the handlebars without too much trouble.
Some grips are fastened with a clamp and allen bolt.
Loosen the bolt in the clamp and remove the grip from the handlebars.
The rest of this guide does not apply to grips fastened with a clamp and allen bolt.
