Luggage straps can be mounted on different parts of the bicycle.
The best place to mount your luggage straps depends on the bicycle model.
Luggage straps for mounting on the luggage carrier can simply be hooked into the mounting points on the frame. This does not require tools.
Common mounting points for luggage straps are the mounting point on the frame, the rear axle, the luggage carrier mounting point and the mudguard mounting point.
When you’ve mounted one end of the luggage straps and you’re moving to fasten the other end, make sure to keep a tight hold on the straps. New luggage straps can be very rigid and tend to snap up quite hard when accidentally let go of.

The bicycle wheel size determines which luggage straps you need.
For example: 28 inch wheels require 28 inch luggage straps.
One set of luggage straps can be suitable for more than one wheel size.
Luggage straps can be mounted in several ways. (1)
Most modern bicycles have a luggage carrier with a mounting point for luggage straps.(2)
If your bicycle does not have this mounting point, it is also an option to get an adapter plate for the rear axle. (3)

Tools are not required for mounting luggage straps on the mounting point.
The old luggage straps are easy to remove by tilting the strap ends slightly and pushing them downwards.
The new luggage straps can be mounted in a similar way; simply slide the mounting hooks into place on both sides of the wheel. (3)
Step 3 : Mounting on the rear axle using an adapter plate

First remove the axle nut from the chain guard side. (1)
Place the adapter plate on the rear axle and firmly tighten the axle nut. (2)
Do the same thing on the other side of the bicycle, and then you can mount the luggage straps. (3)
Step 4 : Mounting luggage straps on an adapter plate

Adapter plates may differ per brand, but the principle remains the same.
Insert the luggage straps through the adapter plate at a 90 degree angle. (1)
Turn the luggage straps 90 degrees, so they are pointing upward. (2)
Now pull the luggage straps up, letting them slot into place in the adapter plate. (3)
