AEROWEAVE
The quest for weight reduction and improved ventilation while maintaining support and protection has led designers and engineers to develop a completely new material: Aeroweave.
In the second generation of Aeroweave fabric, nylon fibers are woven with filaments of thermoplastic polymers to create an even lighter shoe that retains its original strength and provides the power and support needed for racing.

POWERSTRAP
While most conventional Velcro closures simply pull both sides of the shoe's upper together, the Vento Powerstrap configuration wraps a strap around the foot, securing it firmly with just two straps.
The instep and midfoot are independently adjustable for a customized fit and compression.
The straps are now even lighter and more stable.

R3 OUTSOLES
The Vento Powerstrap Aeroweave also features an entirely new outsole, the R3, developed with a revamped carbon fiber layup and a new design to save weight without sacrificing stiffness.
With a stiffness index of 10, the R3 is a stiff outsole that ensures optimal power transfer.
Two wide ventilation openings and deep internal channels provide a cooling airflow and contribute to temperature management.
The R3 outsole is tuned to the latest trends in bike fitting and offers a recessed placement of the cleat, as seen on all current Fizik models, to optimize pedaling efficiency and reduce knee compression.
It is particularly suitable for very aggressive, aerodynamic positions at the front.
