Britax Römer was born in 1979 from a merger between British manufacturer Britax and its German counterpart Römer.

Römer was founded in the 1930s in Ulm and made child safety its specialty a few decades later during the 1970s.
Since then the brand has become a household name for young parents in Germany and Römer products can be found in every household with babies or young children.

Britax was also founded in the 1930s and mainly expanded to the USA, Australia, New Zealand, Scandinavia and the Far East during the 1980s and 1990s.
Today, Britax Römer operates at a global level, with nine facilities all over the world, all dedicated to child safety.
