Park Tool Crown Race Assembly Set CRS-1 - 1 and 1 1/8 Inch

The CRS-1 offers six inserts for installing the fork crown race. The bearing surface is protected from direct impact by using different inserts to ensure a proper fit on the race. Choose the correct insert, then slide the tube over the fork tube and into the top end of the insert. Using a hammer, tap firmly on the end cap of the tube to safely and accurately seat the race into its proper place. The CRS-1 set includes one universal setting tube, three 1" inserts, and three 1-1/8" inserts. The CRS-1 is compatible with forks that have a column length of 340mm or less.

For oversized columns measuring 1-1/4" or 1-1/2", use the CRS-15 Crown Race Setter.

The CRS-1 is a professional tool set designed for the installation of crown races onto forks with 1" and 1-1/8" steering columns. Utilizing the long, sturdy driver tube, one of the included drifts, and a hammer or mallet (not included), the CRS-1 safely and accurately drives the crown race into its correctly seated position.

Includes six specially-sized drifts — three in the 1" standard and three in the 1-1/8" standard — ensuring compatibility with most crown race shapes and designs. Each drift is crafted from anodized aluminum to prevent damage to the crown race.

NOTE: The steering column diameter relevant to crown race setting is measured at the base of the steering column. For oversized 1-1/4" or 1-1/2" columns, use the CRS-15.
