Park Tool Disc Brake Tool DT5.2 with Adjustable Axles Set

The DT-5 has been discontinued and replaced with the DT-5.2, which features telescoping axle adapters and compatibility with the Flat Mount disc brake mounting standard.

It works on both post mounts and IS brake mounts, providing low clearance to access chainstay post mounts. The DT-5.2 is compatible with 100mm width open dropout forks, 100mm width 15mm thru axle forks, and 20mm thru axle forks. It includes axles and skewers for 100/135mm open dropout spacing and adaptors for thru axle frames in 135, 142, 150, and 157mm widths. Additionally, it comes with two different cutters: one for IS mounts and one for post mounts.

The tight tolerances of modern bicycle disc brake systems require precise alignment of all components to ensure proper performance. However, the brake mounts on many bike frames and forks are often misaligned. The Park Tool DT-5.2 is a precision tool system engineered to accurately face disc brake mounts so they are perfectly aligned to the rotor. The DT-5.2 faces any IS mount, post mount, or flat mount-style brake mounts, including low-clearance chainstay mounts. The included telescoping axle adapters allow use with any configuration of open or thru-axle dropouts and dropout widths (including Boost 110, Boost 148, and all fat bike axles). This is a professional solution for an essential frame prep procedure.

NOTE: Although Park Tool facers, reamers, cutters, and dies are compatible with most frame materials currently used in the bicycle industry, high-performance materials such as carbon fiber and titanium can dull these frame prep tools at a much faster rate than steel or aluminum. The use of the 2197 Diamond Abrasive Adapter is recommended for carbon fiber brake mounts.
