The patented RWS wheel mounting system from DT Swiss is stiff, safe and easy to use.
The plug-in version offers all the advantages of a tool-free mounting of the thru-axle, if one would like.
If you prefer the clean look of a screwdriver, you simply pull off the lever unit and store it in your backpack.
Or leave her at home.
There is a 6 mm hexagon socket on the axle that can be operated with any standard tool.
On the lever unit is also a 6 mm hexagon which of course can be used as a mini tool on the go.

Because the RWS has no plastic parts in the force flow, the clamping force is independent of temperature and thus the RWS is 100% disc brake compatible!
The direct transfer of leverage to the thread allows the RWS to achieve up to 50% more clamping force than conventional quick-releases.
This is not only safer, but also increases the stiffness, which is particularly noticeable in disc brakes.
