The 240 hub has been one of DT Swiss' showpieces for years.
It is regarded worldwide as the top in wheel hubs for both racing and MTB wheels.
Another example of Swiss precision has now been added to this superior quality, the EXP version of Ratchet technology.

These toothed rings in the hub ensure the transmission of the cassette to the axle in the hub when pedaling force is applied and the freewheel when pedaling force is released.
The first major advantage of the EXP version of Ratchet is that there are fewer parts and hand-removable end caps.
This means less weight, less wear and easier maintenance.

In addition, it offers more contact surface, which makes the drive from the body to the rear axle more solid and precise.
The distance between the left and right hub bearings is also greater, which ensures better power distribution and stiffness. The 240 EXP hub is available in many variants, the choice is determined by the type of wheel (race or MTB), by the spoke lining (Classic or straightpull plus the number of spokes), the type of brake (6-bolt, centerlock or rim) and the desired body for the cassette (SRAM, Shimano, Campagnolo).
