This parallelogram suspension seatpost is engineered to provide you with maximum riding comfort, whether you're navigating city streets or tackling rough terrain. The progressive suspension system responds softly to light impacts while increasing spring resistance for harder impacts.

When the suspension compresses, the G.2 ST parallelogram suspension seatpost dips up to approximately 18 mm to the rear and about 22 mm downwards.

Thanks to the heavy-duty flat wire steel spring and technical elastomers in the spring eye and on the inner sides of the arms, even hard impacts (such as driving through deep potholes) will not cause the suspension to bottom out. Additionally, the rebound movement is dampened by hemispherical elastomers in the head and base sections. Easily interchangeable spring elements with varying spring rates and damping characteristics are available to optimally adapt the G.2 ST to the rider's weight and riding style.

Before purchasing:
Ensure that the inner diameter of your bicycle frame's seat tube matches the outer diameter of the G.2 seatpost. Different dimensions can lead to clamp failure, as well as accidents and damage to property or persons. A reducing sleeve allows the seatpost tube diameter to be adapted to the seat tube diameter. For this purpose, by.schulz recommends their dedicated double-slotted aluminum reducing sleeve with a height of 120mm. If using a reducer sleeve from another manufacturer, it should be made of aluminum and have a minimum length of 90 mm. Always ensure that the reducer sleeve is fully inserted into the seat tube.

Check that the width of the saddle rails is compatible with the seatpost head. The inner width must be at least 35mm. Some full-grain leather saddles taper too narrowly at the front of the rails and are therefore incompatible with this seatpost. Using them in this way is not possible and can permanently damage both the saddle and the seatpost. Always use the correct seatpost clamp for the corresponding saddle rails. Seatpost clamps for a 7mm diameter rail are standard. 8mm diameter clamps can also be used if necessary. Never combine 8mm clamps with a 7mm diameter rail or vice versa. Note: Saddles with oval rails must not be used.
