Duracell Battery CR1220 / DL1220 3V Lithium

Duracell’s history goes back all the way to 1930, when the brand started out as a partnership between scientist Samuel Ruben and businessman Philip Rogers Mallory, who met in the 1920s. 
At the time the PR Mallory company manufactured mercury cells - a considerable improvement compared with zinc air batteries - for military purposes. 

In the late 70s, mercury was abandoned following increased concern over its toxicity. 
It was substituted by alkaline technology. 

During the 1950s, Kodak introduced cameras with a built-in flash. 
Their design required a new battery size, which led to the invention of the smaller AAA battery. 

In 1974 Duracell, being a contraction of ‘durable cell’, became an official brand name. 

Duracell produces alkaline batteries in many standard sizes: 
AAA, AA, C, D, 9V, etc. Perfect for bike lights and cycle computers.
