Zipp ZR1 SL Rear Hub 10/11S Shimano Centerlock 24G 142mm

The ZR1 SL hub combines high performance with durability. The "Super Light" version is derived from the base model but features a lighter hub and bearing system. This front hub has been specially developed for our NSW top wheels and is now available separately. With a total weight reduction of 30 grams, the reliable aluminum hub is the perfect complement to ZIPP's performance-oriented NSW wheels. ZR1 hubs are approved for use with electric bikes with light assistance for road or gravel bikes, provided the motor torque does not exceed 60 Nm. In addition to its low weight, the ceramic hybrid bearings offer noticeable benefits in terms of rolling behavior. The ZR1 SL comes with carbon steel bearings and an aftermarket option for ceramic bearings for even lower weight.

The SL version is also extremely maintenance-friendly. The design of the driver body keeps the pawls in place for disassembly, making maintenance easier. This is not only due to the fact that it shares end caps, axles, and freewheel bodies with the ZR1 standard hub, but also to the design for J-Bend spokes, which are widely used and easy to replace. The freewheel of the rear hub is equipped with 6 pawls, which are compensated in 2 groups. This way, 3 pawls engage at any moment, resulting in a total of 66 engagement points for quick responsiveness at all times.
