FFWD has made its ultimate wheelset even better!
The FFWD RAW has taken another leap forward.
New lighter rims, stiffer carbon spokes with a lower weight and modified hubs with CeramicSpeed ??bearings.
They have also given all this a new look.
The beautiful design is available in a matte or glossy finish.
The rims are formed by our LAW Tech aerodynamic profile.
But what you don't see is the time and effort of precise lay-up techniques that make these rims 10% lighter.
The wheels are the first from FFWD with carbon spokes and have been tested for the past two years.
Heavy and powerful riders have accepted our challenge to test these wheels to the max.
FFWD can say with confidence that these wheels meet their high demands.
The carbon spokes save weight but also transfer the mass of the weight to the center of the wheel.
This results in a more responsive wheelset.
It also results in a stiffer wheel with an increased stiffness of 17%. The carbon spokes require a special hub design.
The level of wheels requires ceramic bearings.
For the custom hubs, FFWD has partnered with CeramicSpeed.
Their bearings improve the performance of the wheels in terms of durability and lower rolling resistance.
As usual, this FFWD hub also comes with an internal ratchet system.
The RAW wheels are hand-built.
