In the past, aluminum nipples had only one positive argument: weight.
All other functions such as corrosion resistance, friction, rigidity were specific to brass nipples.
This has changed dramatically in recent years.
All SAPIM aluminum nipples are now anodized.
Salt spray tests showed better results than nickel-plated brass nipples.
You can choose from 7 different colors.
It is not necessary to add oil or grease to the nipple like with the brass version.
For the last three years, Sapim has used the 7075 material and has added extra power through the T6 heat treatment.
These lightweight nipples are now stronger than brass.
Aluminum nipples are more expensive, but certainly much better than brass.
For those who pay attention to weight, special colors and quality, an aluminum nipple is recommended.
