The Goodyear XPLR Slick is part of a groundbreaking wheel and tire system for gravel. This semi-slick gravel racing tire is designed for the unique 303 XPLR SW and S wheelsets from Zipp, offering the fastest wheel and tire combination on smooth to moderately rough gravel. The tire performs best in dry conditions. Current gravel wheel systems are typically slightly stronger versions of what exists on the road: light, stiff, narrow, and aerodynamic. The problem is that riding on gravel generates harmful vibrations that slow you down and cause fatigue over time. Additionally, gravel tires generally compromise the aerodynamic benefits of traditionally narrow racing rims.
