The Grand Prix TR from Continental is the affordable entry into the world of performance racing bike tires with Tubeless Ready technology.

Based on the legendary Grand Prix 5000 family, this tire also features the proven, high-quality BlackChili compound, which combines low rolling resistance with high grip reserves.
In addition, a four-layer carcass ensures a balanced ratio between puncture protection, rolling resistance and weight.

Thanks to Tubeless Ready technology, you can also ride the Grand Prix TR without an inner tube and with less air pressure to fully utilize the comfort capabilities of the tire – without the risk of a puncture due to snakebite.

These properties make the Grand Prix TR a reliable all-rounder for training rides, long distances or commuting.

TR (Tubeless-Ready)
The user-friendly tubeless-ready concept of the Grand Prix TR is specially designed for racing bikes, easy to assemble and reliable in use. The new rim flange seals well and ensures stable grip on both hooked and hookless rims.
For initial installation, Continental recommends using at least 30 ml of Conti RevoSealant (order no.: 2255637) per tyre. Then rotate the tyre or wheel to distribute the sealant. Then inflate the tyre to maximum pressure. Check the pressure before the first ride and regularly thereafter and inflate the tyre as necessary.

BlackChili compound
High grip and low rolling resistance are mutually exclusive. You have to compromise to combine the two. The Grand Prix TR uses the well-known Black Chilli Compound. This promises an optimally balanced ratio between stiffness and stability for a tyre with optimised rolling resistance that is also soft enough to offer maximum grip.

4-ply Construction
The four-ply carcass sets the Grand Prix TR apart from the tyres in the Grand Prix 5000 family and ensures a balanced ratio between puncture protection, rolling resistance and weight.

Which tire fits which rim?

The so-called ETRTO size (European Tire and Rim Technical Organisation) consists of two numbers:
the first is the width of the tire in millimeters and the second is the diameter of the tire in millimeters.
City bikes usually have tire size 37-622:
a 37 mm width and a 622 mm diameter.
The tire width must match the rim width.
