Shimano Ultegra R8000 Crankset 52/36T 11S 172.5mm - Black
- EAN 4524667623373
- Brand: Shimano
- Product Model: 501343
The new Shimano Ultegra R8000 crankset looks a lot like the most recent Shimano Dura Ace R9100 crankset.
The set has four asymmetric arms, which are just a little lighter than the previous version (approx. 2 grams)
The outer chainring is extremely stiff, and because of the Hollowglide technique also extremely light.
This crankset, with a 110 mm BCD, can perfectly be used with wider tires.
Shimano has already taken this into account, even when you prefer a larger shifting range.
Benefit from an accurate forward pedaling movement, and choose for this Shimano Ultegra crank like many other cyclists.

The first Shimano product was the bicycle freewheel, which also became the first product by Shimano to be exported in 1931.
Halfway through the 1950s Shimano expanded its range with a derailleur and a 3 speed hub.
In 1960 cold forging technology was introduced, quickly becoming a vital part of the production process and the main reason behind the premium quality of Shimano's bicycle parts.
Export figures grew exponentially. In 1965 and 1972 Shimano America and Shimano Europe were founded, and the first factories were opened in Singapore.
In 1973 the first complete Dura-Ace group came into being and Shimano Inc. became a publicly listed company.
Starting in the early 80s, the introduction of the mountain bike and the company’s leading role in its evolution led to rapid growth for Shimano Inc.
Then Shimano turned the road bike market upside down in 1984 with the introduction of indexed shifting (SIS), and again in 1990 with integrated braking and shifting (STI).
