Shimano Dura Ace R9200 Chainring 54 Teeth NJ - Black
- EAN 4550170167967
- Brand: Shimano
- Product Model: 749225
With their special tooth profiles, mounting pins and climbing aids, the Dura Ace FC-R9200 chainrings enable a particularly smooth and fast shifting process.
This makes shifting under load, as you are otherwise only used to with a rear derailleur, possible without any problems.
The carbon fiber reinforced plastic construction with aluminum teeth helps keep weight down and increase torsional rigidity.
The Hollowglide profile of the large chainrings also contributes to this.
NB:
The letter combinations (NK, NH, NJ) behind the number of teeth must match for large and small chainrings.
Specially matched thanks to their climbing aids, the Dura Ace FC-R9200 chainrings can only achieve their superior shifting performance in Shimano's combinations.

The first Shimano product was the bicycle freewheel, which also became the first product by Shimano to be exported in 1931.
Halfway through the 1950s Shimano expanded its range with a derailleur and a 3 speed hub.
In 1960 cold forging technology was introduced, quickly becoming a vital part of the production process and the main reason behind the premium quality of Shimano's bicycle parts.
Export figures grew exponentially. In 1965 and 1972 Shimano America and Shimano Europe were founded, and the first factories were opened in Singapore.
In 1973 the first complete Dura-Ace group came into being and Shimano Inc. became a publicly listed company.
Starting in the early 80s, the introduction of the mountain bike and the company’s leading role in its evolution led to rapid growth for Shimano Inc.
Then Shimano turned the road bike market upside down in 1984 with the introduction of indexed shifting (SIS), and again in 1990 with integrated braking and shifting (STI).
