Shimano GRX RX820 Front Derailleur 12V Weld-On Down-Pull Gr
- EAN 4550170303419
- Brand: Shimano
- Product Model: 841520
With the GRX, Shimano launched the first gravel-specific shifting group.
Since then, the range of uses and range of gravel bikes have expanded considerably.
Shimano takes this development into account by also expanding the range of the GRX group.
With 12 sprockets on the rear wheel and the option to choose between a 1-speed and 2-speed setup, you can even better tailor your drivetrain to your needs.
The GRX FD-RX820 front derailleur is designed to accommodate the wider tires on gravel bikes.
Compared to Shimano Road derailleurs, the chainline has been moved outward by 2.5mm and 46mm.
Made for Shimano 12-speed chains and with a chainring capacity of 17 teeth, the front derailleur harmonizes perfectly with the GRX FC820-2 crank with 48-31 teeth.
The Toggle Link construction provides even more options for cable routing and therefore wider compatibility with the frame.
For optimal adjustment, it has its own adjustment screw, on which the tension of the Bowden cable can be adjusted.

The first Shimano product was the bicycle freewheel, which also became the first product by Shimano to be exported in 1931.
Halfway through the 1950s Shimano expanded its range with a derailleur and a 3 speed hub.
In 1960 cold forging technology was introduced, quickly becoming a vital part of the production process and the main reason behind the premium quality of Shimano's bicycle parts.
Export figures grew exponentially. In 1965 and 1972 Shimano America and Shimano Europe were founded, and the first factories were opened in Singapore.
In 1973 the first complete Dura-Ace group came into being and Shimano Inc. became a publicly listed company.
Starting in the early 80s, the introduction of the mountain bike and the company’s leading role in its evolution led to rapid growth for Shimano Inc.
Then Shimano turned the road bike market upside down in 1984 with the introduction of indexed shifting (SIS), and again in 1990 with integrated braking and shifting (STI).
