Shimano XT M8250 Rear Derailleur 12V DI2 Medium Cage

Technologically, the Deore XT rear derailleur of the M8250 series is in no way inferior to its XTR counterpart. The only difference is the aluminum cage, which is equally durable. Thanks to the well-utilized Shadow ES construction, the XT model also features a slim, wedge-shaped low profile design. Additionally, the stabilizer fits seamlessly into the housing of the electronic Di2 rear derailleur, eliminating any edges that could potentially come into contact with obstacles on the trail. The result is a significantly reduced risk of stone strikes or impacts.

In the event of an impact, the rear derailleur not only absorbs it but is also immediately returned to its original position with the help of the automatic recovery function. Furthermore, the innovative chain stabilization technology, with its double spring design, ensures higher chain tension and correspondingly better chain retention. To extend the service life, the wide, cleverly arranged linkage combined with the robust derailleur pulleys minimizes the risk of dirt ingress. The battery (not included) is also well protected, located inside the rear derailleur housing, ensuring it stays secure even in rough terrain while still being easy to remove when it's time for a recharge.

Shadow ES. This construction is characterized by a low profile, which reduces the forward-facing surface of the rear derailleur. As a result, the rear derailleur has no protruding edges that could get caught on stones or roots.
