Shimano XTR M9120 Crankset 12V 165mm - Black
- EAN 4524667879671
- Brand: Shimano
- Product Model: 579462
This Shimano XTR M9100 MTB Crankset 12-speed is a real upgrade for your mountain bike.
The crankset is very light, thanks to the extra thin chainrings.
These are needed because a 12 speed cassette is connected to it,
this means there is less room for a thick chain and the chainrings are automatically made thinner.
These chainrings are manufactured with great precision, so that optimum shifting performance is achieved.
The crankset is provided with a Hollowtech II axis, which is very strong and does not deform.
As a result, all your supplied power will end up on the wheels.
Another big advantage of this crankset is that it is possible to mount a second chainring.
All in all, the complete set only weighs 511 grams.

The first Shimano product was the bicycle freewheel, which also became the first product by Shimano to be exported in 1931.
Halfway through the 1950s Shimano expanded its range with a derailleur and a 3 speed hub.
In 1960 cold forging technology was introduced, quickly becoming a vital part of the production process and the main reason behind the premium quality of Shimano's bicycle parts.
Export figures grew exponentially. In 1965 and 1972 Shimano America and Shimano Europe were founded, and the first factories were opened in Singapore.
In 1973 the first complete Dura-Ace group came into being and Shimano Inc. became a publicly listed company.
Starting in the early 80s, the introduction of the mountain bike and the company’s leading role in its evolution led to rapid growth for Shimano Inc.
Then Shimano turned the road bike market upside down in 1984 with the introduction of indexed shifting (SIS), and again in 1990 with integrated braking and shifting (STI).
