Shimano XTR M9120-2B Crankset 26/38T 12V 170mm - Black
- EAN 4524667880042
- Brand: Shimano
- Product Model: 579465
This crankset from Shimano is a real upgrade for your mountain bike.
The crankset is very light, thanks to the extra thin chainrings.
These are needed because a 12-speed cassette is connected to it, and as a result there is less room for a thicker chain.
These chainrings are manufactured with great precision, so that optimum shifting performances are achieved.
The crankset is equipped with a Hollowtech II axle, which is very strong and does not deform.
As a result, all your supplied power will end up directly on the wheels.
Partly thanks to the aluminum inner chainring, the complete set only weighs 511 grams.

The first Shimano product was the bicycle freewheel, which also became the first product by Shimano to be exported in 1931.
Halfway through the 1950s Shimano expanded its range with a derailleur and a 3 speed hub.
In 1960 cold forging technology was introduced, quickly becoming a vital part of the production process and the main reason behind the premium quality of Shimano's bicycle parts.
Export figures grew exponentially. In 1965 and 1972 Shimano America and Shimano Europe were founded, and the first factories were opened in Singapore.
In 1973 the first complete Dura-Ace group came into being and Shimano Inc. became a publicly listed company.
Starting in the early 80s, the introduction of the mountain bike and the company’s leading role in its evolution led to rapid growth for Shimano Inc.
Then Shimano turned the road bike market upside down in 1984 with the introduction of indexed shifting (SIS), and again in 1990 with integrated braking and shifting (STI).
