The crankset is the part that connects the bottom bracket and the pedals. Together the crank and its two or three chain wheels (or chain rings) make up the crankset. Since the chain wheels are detachable, it's easy to adjust the acceleration capacity. The crankset and bottom bracket (including the pedals and bicycle chain) together form the bicycle drivetrain system. You can add or remove chain wheels to adjust the acceleration capacity.
