The rubbers are made of organic materials and bonded with synthetic resin. In order to improve braking properties and reduce abrasion, the pad contains small amounts of metal particles. Nevertheless, the pads are mostly organic, you could say they are semi-metallic. This mixture results in optimal dry and wet braking values and also keeps disc wear to a minimum.
