Locking bar on both sides
The shackle of the D-lock is secured on both sides within the lock cylinder. This double security makes the shackle lock much more resistant to attacks than a shackle lock with a single lock, where thieves only need to pick one side. The cylinder of the disc lock is also protected against lock picking.

Rubber, spring-loaded triangular shackle with 30% more resistance
The D-lock is 20.4 cm long and 8.5 cm wide, fitting around the frame, the rear wheel, and a fixed object. The rubber-coated shackle sits firmly in hand and does not accidentally fall out of the mechanism thanks to the spring in the locking cylinder. The triangular profile is 30% more robust against attacks than a shackle with a round profile.
