A ring lock is the basic type of bicycle lock that almost every Dutch person uses.
This Shield XPlus 5755L R from ABUS is made of hardened special steel and offers good protection for an average risk of theft.
The inner diameter is extra wide: 78 millimeters.
This also makes this ring lock suitable for bicycles with tires with a width of more than 70 millimeters, and for wheels with balloon tires.

Good protection against theft
The lock has a locking bracket that is 8.5 mm thick.
The locking mechanism, the bracket and the lock are made of hardened special steel.
Simply mount the lock to the rear fork of the bicycle.
If there are no drill holes available at the rear, the mounting set with tension straps from ABUS offers a solution. With this R version of the ring lock Shield, the key remains in the cylinder when the lock is open.
