Ortlieb Vario QL3.1 Bicycle Backpack 26L - Rooibos

This hybrid bag Vario from the German quality brand Ortlieb is a backpack and a single bicycle bag in one. The reddish-brown bicycle bag has a capacity of 26 liters and is made from durable PU-coated nylon material. The Vario has a spacious main compartment that includes a large slip pocket (A4 size) and a zip pocket. The slip pocket fits a laptop up to 14 inches. The bag closes with a waterproof roll closure secured by a metal hook. The less luggage you have, the more compactly you can roll the bag shut. On one side of the bag, there is a mesh slip pocket (not waterproof). Items you need quickly on the go can be stored in the separate outer zip pocket. The included removable base plate reinforces the bottom of the bag.

The updated Vario backpack features the Quick-Lock 3.1 attachment system on one side and a padded carrying system with a chest strap and ergonomically shaped shoulder straps on the other. These shoulder straps are finished with reflective thread. A flap with an integrated zip pocket covers the side of the bag that is not in use. This can be switched to the other side and secured with a metal hook.

Waterproof and reflective
To make the bag 100% dust and waterproof (protection grade IP64), the roll closure must be rolled at least 3 to 4 times. Reflective material is applied to the sides of the bag for good visibility in the dark.

Quick-Lock 3.1 attachment
You attach this bag using Quick Lock 3.1, a bicycle bag hanging system developed specifically for office and city bags by Ortlieb. One advantage of this system is that there are no disturbing hooks on the back of the bag. You can easily detach the bag from the carrier with one hand by pulling on the handle and moving the bag left or right. The Vario comes with the necessary mounting bolts for luggage carriers with QL3.1-compatible mounting points, such as the Quick Rack. If you want to use the bag on a luggage carrier without integrated QL3.1 attachment, an additional mounting set can be ordered separately.

Adapters
The QL 3.1 system is suitable for carriers with a tube diameter of up to 10 mm. Adapters for carriers with a tube diameter of 11-16 mm are available separately.
