The DT Swiss ARC 1400 Dicut® DB 80 carbon rear wheel for road bikes with disc brakes impresses with a perfect mix of acceleration, aerodynamics and handling.
The ARC 1400 system wheel with AERO+ rim profile impresses with the modified Dicut® Aero hub. Together with the aero experts at SWISS SIDE, DT Swiss achieved lower wind sensitivity in crosswinds and improved overall aerodynamics of the wheel. In moderate crosswinds, you benefit from propulsion through the sail effect and a stable aerodynamic position with full bike control.

The 80 mm high profile rim is predestined for flat and fast time trials and triathlons. High stiffness values and the wheel's low weight impress both pros and ambitious amateurs - i.e. anyone who loves speed.
High-quality DT Swiss Aero spokes and the lightweight 240 Dicut® aero hub with the weight-saving Ratchet EXP freewheel system for direct drive round off the carbon wheel's construction. Outstanding tubeless compatibility allows you to build the wheels without an inner tube for reduced weight, great comfort, low rolling resistance and excellent anti-puncture protection.

Technologies:

- AERO+:
The symbiosis of aerodynamics, handling and efficiency. - The optimisation of the wheel's aerodynamics by DT Swiss in collaboration with SWISS SIDE reduces rotational and aerodynamic drag for low-friction drive and controlled handling in crosswinds. Combined with a larger inner rim dimension for wider tyres, rolling resistance also decreases. Traction and comfort are improved by the wide contact patch.

- RATCHET EXP SYSTEM:
Due to the integration of sprocket and wire ring, this is currently DT Swiss' lightest sprocket-freewheel system. The sprockets for the Ratchet EXP system have 36 or 54 teeth for a particularly small engagement angle. It convinces with high reliability due to the simultaneous meshing of the teeth, leading to significantly lower point loads. The concept is easy to maintain can be adapted to standard axle and freewheel body standards without tools.

- TUBELESS:
All DT Swiss wheels are tubeless ready. The profiles of DT Swiss rims are specially designed for tubeless use. The rim profile makes it easier to fit the right tyre and guarantees a perfect fit. The tubeless system of the rim consists of DT Swiss Tubeless Ready Tape rim tape for sealing and a DT Swiss Tubeless valve in the appropriate length. When using Tubeless Ready tyres, the use of a compatible sealant is necessary. However, it is also possible to use the classic combination of tyre and inner tube.

- BEARINGS:
Backed by years of experience, DT Swiss exclusively uses robust industrial bearings with no adjustment of bearing play. DT Swiss hubs are constructed so that, when fitted correctly, the axial and radial bearing clearance is optimal without adjustment possibilities. The correct bearing preload to compensate for the clamping force of the wheel mounting system is the basis for a backlash-free hub with minimal friction.
