By pressing the colored button you'll close the coupling, the hose is vented and held in the coupling until it is depressurized.
This coupling complies with occupational health and safety law.
It is in no way possible to take the hose out of the coupling if there is residual pressure inside

And the plastic coupling housing will not scratch delicate surfaces
