The Dura Type insert pad was originally developed as an aftermarket upgrade for high end Shimano brake systems. Our Dura pads are the same spec as Shimano pads and fit Shimano, Sram, TRP and Tektro holders with a set screw.

Kool-Stop International Inc. was started back in 1978, in Oregon USA.
While making friction components for industrial applications, owner Richard Everett began supplying a few compounds to the bicycle industry.
After creating the first bicycle brake pad that had an internal frame and an air cooled heat sink, the small garage-based company started to build a name for itself.

Kool-Stop Europe, the European office, is based in the Netherlands and carries a large stock of all brake pad and disc brake pad models.
Stock is flown in every week and distributors receive their orders within 2 to 4 days after placing them.

A wide range of Kool-Stop brake pads is shown annually at various bicycle shows all over the world,
including EuroBike (Friedrichshafen, BRD), Cycle Show (London, UK) and InterBike (Las Vegas, USA).
