Het Schwalbe hogedruk velglint is de derde cruciale factor voor de veiligheid van je fietsband, na de band en de binnenband zelf.
Dit velglint biedt de essentiële bescherming die je binnenband nodig heeft tegen mechanische schade.
Of het nu gaat om spaakkoppen, metalen bramen in de velg of andere scherpe randen, het velglint beschermt je binnenband effectief tegen beschadigingen, waardoor het risico op lekke banden aanzienlijk wordt verminderd.

Met de maat 22-305 is dit velglint perfect geschikt voor 16-inch wielen, en het biedt een uitstekende bescherming bij een maximale druk van 7 bar.
De polyurethaan samenstelling maakt het velglint duurzaam, flexibel en bestand tegen de hoge druk die gepaard gaat met intensieve ritten.

Welke fietsband past op welke velg?

De zogenaamde ETRTO-maat bestaat uit 2 getallen.
Het eerste getal geeft de breedte van de band in millimeters aan.
Het tweede getal geeft de diameter van de buitenband aan.
Stadsfietsen hebben bijvoorbeeld vaak de bandmaat 37-622.
De band is dan 37 mm breed en de fietsband heeft een diameter van 622mm.
De maat 622mm is dus bindend voor de maat band die op uw fiets past.
De breedte maat (37mm) is niet bindend.
Er kan ook een smallere fietsband (bijvoorbeeld 32-622) of bredere fietsband (bijvoorbeeld 40-622) op uw fiets.
