Deze Schwalbe binnenband No. 12XS is een compacte optie voor smalle banden, ontworpen om te passen bij breedtes van 20 millimeter tot 28 millimeter voor kleinere 26-inch en 27,5-inch wielstandaarden. De 20/28-584/590 maatvoering dekt 28-584 (27,5 x 1,10 inch) plus klassieke smalle 26-inch maten zoals 20-590 (26 x 3/4 inch) en 25-590 (26 x 1,00 inch), waardoor het een praktische keuze is voor vintage-stijl fietsen, smalle stadsbanden en specifieke velgstandaarden die de juiste band passen vereisen. Het is uitgerust met een AV (Auto) ventiel met een lengte van 40 millimeter voor eenvoudige inflatie bij pompstations en veel vloerpompen.

Welke fietsband past op welke velg?

De zogenaamde ETRTO-maat bestaat uit 2 getallen.
Het eerste getal geeft de breedte van de band in millimeters aan.
Het tweede getal geeft de diameter van de buitenband aan.
Stadsfietsen hebben bijvoorbeeld vaak de bandmaat 37-622.
De band is dan 37 mm breed en de fietsband heeft een diameter van 622mm.
De maat 622mm is dus bindend voor de maat band die op uw fiets past.
De breedte maat (37mm) is niet bindend.
Er kan ook een smallere fietsband (bijvoorbeeld 32-622) of bredere fietsband (bijvoorbeeld 40-622) op uw fiets.
