Deze band van Schwalbe is ontworpen voor fietsers die de vertrouwde Marathon betrouwbaarheid willen in een lichter en sportiever pakket. De Marathon Racer is de lichtste band in het Marathon-assortiment en is ontworpen om een levendig rijgevoel te combineren met betrouwbare lekbescherming voor dagelijks gebruik, woon-werkverkeer en snelle toertochten. De RaceGuard bescherming maakt gebruik van twee lagen gekruist nylonweefsel op een hoogwaardige 67 EPI carcass om het risico op lekrijden te verminderen zonder dat de band zwaar of traag aanvoelt. De ADDIX compound is afgestemd om grip, rolweerstand en slijtage in balans te houden, terwijl de LiteSkin zijwand helpt om het totale gewicht laag te houden. Dit maakt het een sterke keuze voor fietsers die een snel rollende toerband met een atletisch karakter willen.

Welke fietsband past op welke velg?

De zogenaamde ETRTO-maat bestaat uit 2 getallen.
Het eerste getal geeft de breedte van de band in millimeters aan.
Het tweede getal geeft de diameter van de buitenband aan.
Stadsfietsen hebben bijvoorbeeld vaak de bandmaat 37-622.
De band is dan 37 mm breed en de fietsband heeft een diameter van 622mm.
De maat 622mm is dus bindend voor de maat band die op uw fiets past.
De breedte maat (37mm) is niet bindend.
Er kan ook een smallere fietsband (bijvoorbeeld 32-622) of bredere fietsband (bijvoorbeeld 40-622) op uw fiets.
