Voor alledaags gebruik of voor een grote tocht. De robuuste opbouw weert alle mishandelingen af. Veilig door SmartGuard, de best werkzame anti-leklaag die er voor fietsbanden is.

Volledig uitsluiten kan men een lekke band nooit. Maar tegen de typische veroorzakers van een lekke band zoals glasscherven of scherpe steentjes bent u in ieder geval met de fietsbanden uit de Marathon Plus serie het best beschermd. Gebruik bij de Marathon Plus beslist een manometer voor het instellen van de bandenspanning. Door de bijzondere opbouw van de band is een bandenspanningtest met de duimen beslist ontoereikend.

Welke fietsband past op welke velg?

De zogenaamde ETRTO-maat bestaat uit 2 getallen.
Het eerste getal geeft de breedte van de band in millimeters aan.
Het tweede getal geeft de diameter van de buitenband aan.
Stadsfietsen hebben bijvoorbeeld vaak de bandmaat 37-622.
De band is dan 37 mm breed en de fietsband heeft een diameter van 622mm.
De maat 622mm is dus bindend voor de maat band die op uw fiets past.
De breedte maat (37mm) is niet bindend.
Er kan ook een smallere fietsband (bijvoorbeeld 32-622) of bredere fietsband (bijvoorbeeld 40-622) op uw fiets.
