De nieuwe Schwalbe Marathon Eco is de pionier op het gebied van lekbescherming, kilometrage en milieuvriendelijkheid.
Dit is de meest milieuvriendelijke band die Schwalbe maakt en de nieuwe standaard onder fietsbanden.
De band is gemaakt van 100% eerlijk rubber, 98% gifvrij en bestaat voor 70% uit gerecyclede en hernieuwbare materialen.
Het is de eerste en enige fietsband met carbon black gemaakt van gerecyclede fietsbanden.
De band heeft een zeer goede lekbescherming dankzij GreenGuard en de band heeft een sportief en modern profielontwerp.

Welke fietsband past op welke velg?

De zogenaamde ETRTO-maat bestaat uit 2 getallen.
Het eerste getal geeft de breedte van de band in millimeters aan.
Het tweede getal geeft de diameter van de buitenband aan.
Stadsfietsen hebben bijvoorbeeld vaak de bandmaat 37-622.
De band is dan 37 mm breed en de fietsband heeft een diameter van 622mm.
De maat 622mm is dus bindend voor de maat band die op uw fiets past.
De breedte maat (37mm) is niet bindend.
Er kan ook een smallere fietsband (bijvoorbeeld 32-622) of bredere fietsband (bijvoorbeeld 40-622) op uw fiets.
