De Maxxis Ikon is een mountainbike band voor echte racers.
Een groot volume, snel en met veel grip, de Ikon levert voorbeeldige prestaties in de meest uiteenlopende bodemomstandigheden, op moeilijk tot losse grond.
De Dual Compound overtuigt vooral op rotsen en wortels, ook als het vochtig is.
Voor zeer ruw, rotsachtig terrein heeft de Ikon ook de Exo-Protection, die de zijwanden veilig beschermt.
Ook is de band het icoon is nu ook beschikbaar in vele Tubeless Ready versies.

Welke fietsband past op welke velg?

De zogenaamde ETRTO-maat. Deze bestaat uit 2 getallen.
Het eerste getal geeft de breedte van de band in millimeters aan.
Het tweede getal geeft de diameter van de buitenband aan.
Stadsfietsen hebben bijvoorbeeld vaak de bandmaat 37-622.
De band is dan 37 mm breed en de fietsband heeft een diameter van 622mm.
De maat 622mm is dus bindend voor de maat band die op uw fiets past.
De breedte maat (37mm) is niet bindend.
Er kan ook een smallere fietsband (bijvoorbeeld 32-622) of bredere fietsband (bijvoorbeeld 40-622) op uw fiets.
