Vredestein introduceert stijlvolle next-generation e-bike-band.

Vredestein heeft de krachten gebundeld met het beroemde Italiaanse designhuis Italdesign Giugiaro
om de Vredestein Icon te creëren, een nieuwe generatie band voor e-bikes.
De Icon biedt de rijder direct feedback en zorgt voor een comfortabele en betrouwbare fietservaring
gecombineerd met een progressief en stijlvol ontwerp dat kracht en snelheid uitstraalt.
Vredestein introduceerde de band op de Eurobike-fietsbeurs in september 2019.

Ongeëvenaarde prestaties!
De Icon heeft een V-vormig semi-slick profiel.
Hoewel slicks de indruk kunnen wekken dat ze gladder zijn dan banden met een uitgesproken profiel,
is dit in werkelijkheid niet het geval: bij tweewielers betekent meer rubber in contact met de weg gewoon een betere grip.
De V-vorm helpt het rubber enigszins te vervormen en zorgt voor een superieure waterafvoer.
In combinatie met het silicarijke mengsel kan de band zich aanpassen aan een breed scala aan wegomstandigheden.

De Icon is ECE R75-gecertificeerd en biedt uitstekende bescherming tegen lekken.

Welke fietsband past op welke velg?

De zogenaamde ETRTO-maat. Deze bestaat uit 2 getallen.
Het eerste getal geeft de breedte van de band in millimeters aan.
Het tweede getal geeft de diameter van de buitenband aan.
Stadsfietsen hebben bijvoorbeeld vaak de bandmaat 37-622.
De band is dan 37 mm breed en de fietsband heeft een diameter van 622mm.
De maat 622mm is dus bindend voor de maat band die op uw fiets past.
De breedte maat (37mm) is niet bindend.
Er kan ook een smallere fietsband (bijvoorbeeld 32-622) of bredere fietsband (bijvoorbeeld 40-622) op uw fiets.
