Deze Schwalbe Air Plus binnenband is een robuuste optie voor 24 inch wielen, ontworpen om te passen bij bandenbreedtes van 40 millimeter tot 62 millimeter voor kinderfietsen, compacte MTB's en kleinere utility fietsen waar extra duurzaamheid belangrijk is. De 40/62-507 maatvoering dekt gangbare 24-inch banden van 40-507 (24 x 1.50 inch) tot 62-507 (24 x 2.50 inch), waardoor het een sterke keuze is voor dagelijks rijden, zwaardere ladingen en ruwer gebruik waar weerstand tegen knik-plat en betere luchthoudbaarheid belangrijk zijn. Het beschikt over een AV (Auto) ventiel met een lengte van 40 millimeter, zodat het eenvoudig op te pompen is bij pompstations en veel vloerpompen.

Welke fietsband past op welke velg?

De zogenaamde ETRTO-maat bestaat uit 2 getallen.
Het eerste getal geeft de breedte van de band in millimeters aan.
Het tweede getal geeft de diameter van de buitenband aan.
Stadsfietsen hebben bijvoorbeeld vaak de bandmaat 37-622.
De band is dan 37 mm breed en de fietsband heeft een diameter van 622mm.
De maat 622mm is dus bindend voor de maat band die op uw fiets past.
De breedte maat (37mm) is niet bindend.
Er kan ook een smallere fietsband (bijvoorbeeld 32-622) of bredere fietsband (bijvoorbeeld 40-622) op uw fiets.
