Deze Schwalbe binnenband is een compacte optie voor smalle 24 inch banden, ontworpen om te passen bij slanke breedtes van 18 millimeter tot 28 millimeter voor kinderfietsen en kleinere wielopstellingen die de 520 mm velgstandaard gebruiken. De 18/28-520 maatvoering dekt smalle 24-inch banden van 18-520 (24 x 0.75 inch) tot 28-520 (24 x 1.10 inch), waardoor het een praktische keuze is wanneer je de juiste band nodig hebt voor smalle schoolfietsen en jeugdfietsen. Het beschikt over een SV (Presta) ventiel met een lengte van 40 mm voor eenvoudige inflatie met gangbare fietspompen en een veilige pasvorm in standaard ventielgaten.

Welke fietsband past op welke velg?

De zogenaamde ETRTO-maat bestaat uit 2 getallen.
Het eerste getal geeft de breedte van de band in millimeters aan.
Het tweede getal geeft de diameter van de buitenband aan.
Stadsfietsen hebben bijvoorbeeld vaak de bandmaat 37-622.
De band is dan 37 mm breed en de fietsband heeft een diameter van 622mm.
De maat 622mm is dus bindend voor de maat band die op uw fiets past.
De breedte maat (37mm) is niet bindend.
Er kan ook een smallere fietsband (bijvoorbeeld 32-622) of bredere fietsband (bijvoorbeeld 40-622) op uw fiets.
